Cornell University is an Ivy League research university in Ithaca, New York. Cornell is private, yet is New York's land-grant institution. Cornell promotes globally-minded public service. 


Affordability: Cornell promises to meet 100% of demonstrated need, without loans for household incomes up to $60,000. Students from middle-income households are expected to take out loans. According to NCES data, 27% of freshman borrowed an average of $8,585 in 2020-21.
