Dartmouth is an Ivy League research university in Hanover, New Hampshire. Founded in 1769, Dartmouth values academic excellence, independent thought, diversity, and open debate. Their name is Dartmouth College, but it is a university (meaning, they have graduate programs).
Affordability: Starting in 2022, Dartmouth promises to meet 100% of demonstrated need without loans. Dartmouth does not offer merit scholarships. According to NCES data, 46% of freshman borrowed an average of $6,445 in 2020-21 (I expect these figures will improve starting with 2022-23 data).
