Gustavus Adolphus is a small, Evangelical Lutheran liberal arts college in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Gustavus is proud of its Swedish and Lutheran roots. According to their website, Gustavus is known for "cross-discipline thinking, lives lived with purpose, [and] proudly taking on challenges."


Affordability: Gustavus has a fairly low average net price ($27,657) and generous aid. According to NCES data, 98% of freshman were awarded, on average, $29,269 in college grants and scholarships for the 2020-21 school year. However, about half of students take out student loans (49% of freshman borrowed an average of $11,173 in 2020-21). Gustavus is most affordable for higher-income families.
