Pitzer is a small liberal arts college in southern California. Pitzer is in the Claremont Colleges consortium with Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Scripps, and Harvey Mudd. These colleges have adjoining campuses, and students enrolled in one college can take courses at the others.

Affordability: Pitzer has a relatively low average net price ($19,153). Pitzer meets 100% of demonstrated need through grants/scholarships, work study, and loans. They also offer some merit aid. According to NCES data, in 2020-21, 41% of freshman received institutional grants or loans averaging $35,933 and 24% of freshman borrowed an average of $3,853. Pitzer's net price (average, and across income groups) was significantly lower in 2020-21 than in the two previous years—I don't know if this represents a long-term or short-term (i.e., COVID-related) adjustment.
