University of Detroit Mercy (UDMercy) is a small Catholic, Jesuit, and Mercy university in Detroit, Michigan. Although there are other options (e.g., engineering, psychology, social work, drama), the three most popular majors, by far, are nursing, biology, and business management.


Affordability: UDMercy has a low average net price ($17,911). According to NCES data, 99% of freshman were awarded, on average, $16,972 in college grants and scholarships for the 2020-21 school year. However, many students take out student loans (44% of freshman borrowed an average of $6,333 in 2020-21). UDMercy is most affordable for higher-income families.
