Yale University is an Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut. Yale is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the United States. Note that Yale has more graduate students than undergraduates.
Affordability: Yale meets 100% of demonstrated need without student loans. Theoretically, then, Yale is affordable for any student admitted. Their need aid is among the best in the U.S. However, they do not offer merit aid. Higher income students will pay full price, which is high. Still, most Yale students do not take out loans (according to NCES data, 5% of freshman borrowed, on average, $4,968 in 2020-21).
